THE OLIVE  a brief history of...
The Olive Bistro - http://www.olivebistro.co.za

The Olive was established by the De Beer family, chef Ruan, brother Niel and father Johan. Ruan and Niel both worked locally and abroad in the industry and gained valuable experience in the last few years, while Johan owned and operated his pizzeria for 6 years in Somerset West.

The Establishment has a cozy, friendly and warm ambiance and you'll feel right at home as soon as you enter the gates of this 'hidden' gem. They cater for a variety of clientele with a warm and cozy restaurant and a large outside area.

The food is home made with a Mediterranean-meets-South African flavour. From the gourmet designer pizzas, hand made pastas, trinchado and prego sauce and freshly baked olive ciabatta.

If you have a passion for good, quality food, don't delay and do yourself a favour by popping in as soon as possible.

"This beautiful, quaint, warm and inviting gem of a restaurant is situated in the midst of bustling Durbanville.

Delicious, comfort food with a touch of elegance flies out the kitchen where the chef chops away with passion rarely seen anymore.

The exquisite wood-fired pizzas are a must - wait - the menu is a must. Hearty meals with just enough flair to be unpretentious are sure to leave diners satisfied.

The interior is simple and rustic, relaxed and ambient, and diners can literally kick off their shoes, sit back and enjoy one of the many vintages on the well thought out wine list.

Lunch and dinner are served and once the word is out you might want to make a reservation. Happy feasting."
